YOGA & MEDITATION
Most recently I was the lead for the kids zone at Cascadia NW Music Festival. In the past I’ve worked with Yo Yo Yoga at OCASO festival in Costa Rica. As well as many years with the Slinky family crew in Ca. I use a trauma informed approach to all my work as I am a board and state certified behaviorist. I love to play and have fun while we work out our issues that live in our tissues. I bring movement and playfulness to group activities of all kinds (even desk work).
Harrison is a Dharma certified yoga instructor and the former student head of the John Main Center for Meditation at Georgetown University. He believes the practice of meditation can benefit everyone, and by practicing “returning to center” we cultivate a skill that is transferable through the entire human experience
I’m a Philly Girl living in LA who loves yoga, (hoop) dancing, dressing up, making my own costumes & yoga clothes. I travel the world with my husband Alex & 4 yr old daughter Oksana as much as we can. Our last trip was to Croatia in Sept. and our next one is Australia in January.
I currently teach toddlers through Pre-teens at Zooga Yoga WEHO, host my own weekly yoga class in Hollywood, teach private clients, & teach corporate yoga. As a burner/festival goer I want to bring more yoga to children and families at festivals and retreats locally and abroad. I strive to create a positive, inspiring & safe atmosphere for my students to explore their yoga practice.
Jessica Annand teaches an alignment-based vinyasa flow with a strong dance and ballet influence. She is fascinated by anatomy and teaching people how to heal their bodies through intelligent movement.
Using interesting sequences and soundscapes, Jessica feels that music is an important part in opening peoples’ bodies. She hosts retreats that involve yoga, family and music around the world and believes these sweet things combine perfectly.
Jessica completed 500 hours Yoga teacher training at Yogaworks South Bay, in addition to numerous other yoga and barre trainings. She believes strongly in continuing her education and frequently seeks opportunities to build her knowledge and skills as a teacher.
Jessica has been involved in the festival yoga world for the past 7 years as yoga director for Tropical Oasis Retreat. She also worked as yoga director for Desert Hearts Festival (2013) and helped manage the yoga shala for Symbiosis Festival (2015).
In 2016 Jessica and her husband, Ben, co-created Annand Oasis Yoga Restival – a unique microfestival near San Diego designed to energize participants through yoga and sound. The next year, Jessica and Ben Annand taught and performed together for the first time at the Oregon Eclipse Global Gathering. In January of both of those years they hosted Oasis Retreat Tulum concurrent with the BPM festival.
Currently Jessica lives in Haiku, Maui where she is yoga director for Tropical Oasis Retreat March 2019. She began this year on a high note teaching beach-side at Maui Yoga Festival at Royal Lahaina Resort, and looks forward to what the new year will bring!

I am excited to help you incorporate the amazing practice of Yoga into your life, especially at work. Since we spend a significant portion of our day at work, it is an extremely important place for us to use the powerful tools of deep breathing, good posture, quieting our mind and calming ourselves down that yoga teaches us.
I moved to Kaua’i to live aloha, having learned the importance of lifestyle, environment and the subconscious, through my studies in epigenetics. I have studied many things, including Vedic astrology, Kashmir Shaivism, Aikido Kokikai… my passion is to understand the natural world and also the inner world.
When Anusara Yoga took root in my heart, I awoke to the laws of nature and consciousness, and through the grace of excellent teachers, I awoke to the art of teaching yoga asana. I completed my first 200YTT in the heart of Philadelphia, Pa at Dhyana Yoga. Then I studied Jivamukti, Iyengar and Anusara for years, with teachers in Philadelphia and Asheville, NC. Around 2012, chronic pain in my shoulders and lower back pushed me to pursue asana in earnest, and Lillah Schwartz mentored me to a pain-free student of asana as medicine. I completed my 500RYT training with her from 2013-2015, along the way coming to understand the role of emotional pain in physical pain; reciprocal inhibition and muscular balance; asymmetry and compensation in dynamic asana. I have taught since 2005.
I am so deeply grateful to live Kaua’i. Everyday chicken skin moments as we share aloha, flow, and always reminders to breathe so deeply! My mission is to help you grow as a practitioner of yoga asana. My vision is for all beings happy and free, in a harmonious, abundant world. My classes are called Skillful Flow Yoga, because that is what I am building as I practice- a flow which is technically and bio mechanically sound, safe and creative. The Buddha points to Skillful Means as an approach towards an ultimate goal- for me that is both mindful and embodied/ in flow.
